From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, April 16, 1974:

Mrs. Adolph Romanowski, 74, of 4848 Scenic Dr., died Monday in Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Romanowski was a retired Oliver Corp. employee. Born March 30, 1900, in South Bend, she had lived here all her life. On Oct. 5, 1920, in South Bend, as Eleanor Herman she was married to Adolph Romanowski, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Alvina Benifiel, Mrs. Rita Andrysiak and Mrs. Virginia Jurek, all of South Bend; six grandchildren; two brothers, Bert Herman of South Bend and Clem Herman of Milwaukee, and four sisters, Mrs. Louise Peters, Mrs. Theresa Wisniewski, Mrs. Bernice Jankowski and Mrs. Dorothy Chrapek, all of South Bend. She was a member of St. Ann’s Society 129, and the Rosary Society, both of St. Casimir’s Church.
