'Funeral of Christopher Engel Held This Morning From Catholic Church - Burial at Calvary'
The body of Christopher Engel arrived in Dowagiac this morning from South Bend at 9:40 o'clock. Owing to poor train connections, the body was brought from South Bend by auto and was accompained by two large auto loads of relatives. The funeral was held from Holy Maternity Church at 10 o'clock. The Requiem services were conducted by Rev. Fr. Wall. Mr. Engel was a well known German resident of Volinia Township, and had been a member of the Dowagiac Catholic parish from its early days.
