SOUTH BEND - Hattie L. Jozwiak, 100, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in Miller's Merry Manor. Hattie was born September 30, 1915 in Greene Township, North Liberty, Indiana to the late Paul and Stella (Tobolski) Sokola. On June 5, 1937 Hattie married her loving husband Bert Jozwiak. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1996 after 59 precious years of marriage. Hattie was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Alex and Frank Sokola; and two sisters, Carrie and Felicia Futa. Survivors included her loving daughters, Susan (Manual) Silva, and Judith (Ronald) Wujcik, all of South Bend; her dear grandsons, Gregory (Jennifer) Szarwark, Geoffrey (Debra) Szarwark, Brian (Ann) Wujcik, and Matthew Wujcik; great-grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Cameron, Zachary, Haley Szarwark, and Michael, and Katelynn Wujcik; great great-children, Brody, Carter, Arabell and Greg. Hattie was a member of Harvest House of Holy Family, Crumstown Conservation Club, Woman's Auxiliary and The Red Hat Club. She enjoyed singing, even sang on the radio many years ago. Playing Euchre with her friends and dancing with her husband were her favorite pass times. Hattie loved her family very muich, especially time spent with grandchildren.Visitation for Hattie is 4:00pm to 8:00pm, Sunday, May 1, 2016 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd.
