[N11294] Electrical Short Blamed In Fire Deaths
NEW CARLISLE, IN

(AP)- Firemen said Thursday a short In electrical wiring may have started a farmhouse fireo that took lives of two young brothers Monday night. Mark Wawrzynski, 7, and his brother James, 10, were trapped on a second floor at the home ol their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wawrzynski Sr, about 2 miles northwest of this St. Joseph County town. Four young people escaped from the house when the blaze started in a rear room. Judy Wiries, 15, of nearby New Carlisle, visiting in the home, jumped from a second story window and was hospitalized with cuts and bruises. Others who escaped were Leonard Wawrzynski Jr., 17, antl his sisters, Sandra, 14, and Debra, 12. They suffered minor burns, The parents were away for the evening.
