CASSOPOLIS - Ben J. Majewski, loving husband, father and grandfather, 88, of Dolan Springs, Ariz., formerly of Cassopolis, died on May 9, 2009. Funeral services in Cassopolis are pending. He was born Nov. 22, 1920 in Crumbstown, IN, and was a 71 year resident of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the South Pacific, earning two Purple Hearts, a Bronze Star and a Silver Star, along with receiving other special service awards. He worked for American Coach, Cassopolis, for 26 years and retired from Miles/Bayer in Elkhart, IN. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret of Dolan Springs, Ariz.; children, James (Debra) of Dolan Springs, Ariz., Cindy (Don) of Cassopolis, Donna (Ken) of Edwardsburg, Dale (Carol) of Lake George, and Scott (Karen) of Henderson, Nev.; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene of New Carlisle; and a brother, Richard of Cassopolis. He was preceded in death by two children, Patrick and Linda; brothers, Alex, Roman, Frank, Stanley, Casmir, Chester, Joe and Ted. Donations may be made to American Health Association (800) AHA-USA1.
