Kathe Andersen, 80, passed away on December 27, 2021, at home surrounded by family. Kathe was born on September 3, 1941, in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen, Denmark to the late Oda Nielsen. On June 25, 1960, she married the love of her life, Per Andersen who survives. Also surviving are her children, Pia (Robert) Stevens of Elkhart, Heidi (Dave) Lentine of Mishawaka and Henrik (Lisa) Andersen of Osceola; 7 grandchildren, Alex Stevens, Kristine Lentine, Kristian Lentine, Ryan Stevens, Brittany Andersen, Katelinn Lentine and Brooke Andersen; 2 great grandchildren, Cooper Stevens, and Oliver Isenbarger; and 2 brothers, Eric Graver and Sten Graver. Kathe is preceded in death by mother, Oda Nielsen; stepfather, Alfred Nielsen; and a sister, Ingelise Rasmussen. Kathe was a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and homemaker. Kathe had a passion for gardening and was blessed with a green thumb. She loved to spend time in her garden among her beautiful flowers watching the hummingbirds and birds that visited her bird houses. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
