SOUTH BEND, IN - Mary A. Billisitz, 93, passed away at 3:30am Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Sanctuary at St. Paul's. Mary was born on August 6, 1925 in South Bend to Luke and Elizabeth (Pallatin) Billisitz. She retired in 1993 from Indiana Bell where she was employed for 48 years. Mary was a member of the Indiana Bell Pioneers, Legion of Mary, St. Ann Society, and Croatian Ladies Group. Surviving are 5 nieces, Kathy Hoppe, Lorene Ellis, Elsie Billisitz, Nancy Cretsinger, and Cindy Lechlitner; and a nephew, Steve Billisitz. Mary was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Louis Billisitz, Stephen Billisitz, Joseph Billisitz, John Billisitz, and Lawrence Billisitz; 2 nieces, Marie Dyszkiewicz and Sharon Billisitz; and 2 nephews, Larry Billisitz and Jeff Billisitz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am Monday, November 5, 2018 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Cremation will follow with burial of her cremated remains in Highland Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 2-6 Sunday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 Kemble Avenue where a Rosary will be recited at 5:00pm.
