SOUTH BEND - Maurice A. Bethuyne, 79, of Southlea Drive, died Monday in his home of natural causes. Mr. Bethuyne retired in 1971 from Uniroyal Plastics Co. He was born Sept. 3, 1916, in Mishawaka. His wife, Virginia, died Sept. 24, 1983. He is survived by two sisters, Martha Laczai of Mishawaka and Alice Braeckelaere of Englewood, Fla.; and two nephews and three nieces. He was a member of Mishawaka Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 624, Roseland, American Legion Post 50, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Hahn Funeral Home, Mishawaka. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

He married Virginia Hamilton on 2-9-1957 in St. Joseph County IN.
