SOUTH BEND -- Frank "Bill" Szynski, 91, of South Bend, passed away at 11:06 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, in Hospice House of St. Joseph County. He was born on November 14, 1915, in South Bend, to the late John and Mary (Stachowiak) Szynski. On May 10, 1947, he married Irene Polonka in St. Adalbert Catholic Church. She survives along with their three children, David Szynski of Edwardsburg, Christine ("Tye") Kingery of South Bend and Lorraine (Jeff Foster) Szynski of Mishawaka; his only granddaughter, Nicole Szynski of Edwardsburg; three step-grandchildren, David (Jean) Kingery of South Bend, Julie Dangaran of Santa Fe, NM, and Dale (Kim) Kingery of Avon, IN; and six step-great-grandchildren.
