Married on Mar 21, 1917, Rev. Roman Marciniak, C. S. C., a Catholic priest in South Bend, Indiana, married Frank Preuss and Teofilia Irene Bartoszek. Frank's marriage application record states his date and place of birth, that he was the son of Joseph & Eleanor Luzny Preuss, and that he was a tailor in South Bend, Indiana.

His WWI draft registration card says that he had served as a corporal in the infantry in his native land.

The 1920-1940 census records of Frank and Teofilia (who was known by her middle name, Irene) include the following children (in birth order) Edward (who died young), Leonard F., Lucille, Edwin Eugene, and Anne Felice. The Indiana birth certificates indicate that they had another son born after Edward and before Leonard, who, apparently, also died young.

The 1930 and 1940 censuses show Frank's brother, Bronislaw, known as Bruno, was living with Frank and his family.

Frank's date and place of death are given in his Indiana death certificate for which the informant was his daughter, Anne Preuss. She reported that he was a widower and that he had been a tailor. It was her understanding that he had been born Jan 3, 1888 in Poland to Frank & Eleanor Preuss.
