Isabelle E. Gish
Isabelle E. Gish, 87, formerly of 517 W. Wayne, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Retirement Community. She was born Sept. 8, 1900, in Winona, Minn. She lived in South Bend 50 years, coming from Racine, Wis. On March 17, 1921, in South Bend, as Isabelle Burant, she married Albert Gish. He died March 24, 1953. Surviving are a son, David of South Bend; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 3:30 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Tuesday by the parish and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the church, the Altar and Rosary Society and the third order of St. Francis.
