Genevieve M. Haluda, 91, of South Kaley Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in Memorial Hos-pital. She was born March 21, 1911, in Poland, and had lived in South Bend since 1914. She was born to Frank and Frances (Stempien) Skorupski, who precededher in death. She also had four brothers who preceded her in death, Stanley Skorupski, Zigmund Skorupski, Joseph Skorupski and Ted Skorupski. Genevieve
married Felix Haluda in January 1934 in South Bend. He passed away in 1953. She is survived by two daughters, Dolores (Ronald) Michalski of South Bend and Loretta (Pat) Williams of Cape Coral, Fla.; one son, Raymond (Betty) Haluda of South Bend; 14 grandchildren, Diane James, Mark Haluda, Paul Haluda, John Haluda, Anthony Haluda, Philip Haluda, Michael Michalski, David Michalski, Kathy Michalski, Chris Michalski, Barbara Howard, Tim Schwenk, Ray Williams and Dan Williams; 19 great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Anthony
(Dorothy) Skorupski of Avon Park, Fla. Genevieve was a seamstress and belonged to St. Adalbert Catholic Church. Viewing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, in St. Adalbert Church, with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made to the St. Adalbert's Building Fund.
