Adalbert “Albert” Winkel (b. 30 Nov 1883, Teklanowo, Poland; m. 19 May 1908, Frances T. Sosnowska in South Bend, St. Joseph, Indiana; d. 1945). He arrived in Baltimore, Maryland in May of 1907. Frances was b. abt. 1883 in Germany and d. in 1938.

Albert Winkel, aged 60, of rural route No. 1, box 108, Granger, this county, died in his home at 4:25 p.m. Sunday. Born in Germany, Nov. 30, 1884, he had lived here for the past 40 years coming from Germany. Surviving are the following children, Edwin, of Granger; Wanda, of South Bend; Mrs. Hilda Rakowski and Virginia, both of Buchanan; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Beitler and Mrs. Hannah Tindall, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Nellie Janissen, of New York city, and two grandchildren. Friends will be received after 6 p.m. Tuesday in the home. The funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in Christ the King Roman Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Polish cemetery.
