[N9010] Anne M. Jordanich
Aug. 4, 1929 - March 12, 2014
SOUTH BEND - Anne M. ("Anchie") Jordanich died peacefully Wednesday morning at her apartment in South Bend. Anne was born in South Bend to the late Edward and (Magdalena Vukovich) Jordanich. Her good friend and sister-in-law, Alma (Vukovits) Jordanich also preceded her in death. Anne is survived by her brother, Edward M. Jordanich, of South Bend; her nephew, Edward J. (Julia) Jordanich of South Bend, her niece, Ann M. Jordanich of Chicago, and her good friend and business partner for many years, Marcia (Rob) Kamiak. Anne is survived by her many Croatian relatives and friends here who she treasured deeply, especially her cousins Katherine (Fred) Kagel, Hubert (Judy) Kuzmich, Nancy (Gus) Hillenbrand, and Monsignor John Kuzmich. She is also predeceased and survived by her Croatian relatives and friends from Austria whom she visited often and loved dearly. Also surviving Anne are her grand-nieces Lauren, Mia, and Natalie Jordanich; as well as Luke and Ryan Kamiak. These children gave Anne much joy and happiness during the last years of her life. Anne graduated from St. Joseph Academy in South Bend, and began her career at Albert McGann Securities in 1952. After a brief time in Washington, D.C. working for Congressman John Brademas, Anne returned to South Bend and worked as a stockbroker and investment advisor until her retirement from Wells Fargo Advisors in 2013. She was the first woman in the state of Indiana to be registered with the New York Stock Exchange and she never missed a chance to promote and encourage women in their professional careers. She loved the financial markets and was devoted to her work. Also predeceasing and surviving Anne are many, many clients and friends from California to Virginia who benefitted greatly from her wisdom, integrity and commitment to their financial well-being. Anne was very generous throughout her life with her time, talent, and treasure. She requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church or School - 829 West Calvert St., South Bend, IN 46613; The American Cancer Society - 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545; Hospice Foundation-501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545; or Memorial Children's Hospital - 615 North Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46601. Anne's family would like to thank Dr. Jordan and Dr. Zon for their care; as well as caregivers Penny, Ann, and Jamie - and a special thank you to Sophie, Anne's constant companion and loving caregiver over the last seven months.
