SOUTH BEND - Adeline Phyllis Galvas, 91, went home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2015. Born May 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Valantina (Bojarski) Sebelski. On May 3, 1947, Adeline married John Galvas. He preceded her in death May 31, 1995. Two sisters, Lucille and Dorothy, also preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory are two children, Jim Galvas of South Bend and Elaine (Bruce) Hoblik of Edgewood, KY; three grandchildren, Adam Hoblik of Chicago, and Alex and Alayna Hoblik of Edgewood, KY; and two brothers, Leo (Joyce) Sebelski of Kansas City, MO, and Ray (Rose) Sebelski of South Bend. Adeline was a loving mom and grandma. She was a simple and humble lady who had a strong faith in God and always put her family before herself. She was a longtime member of Little Flower Catholic Church and an active member of the German Club of South Bend. She enjoyed being a Patrol Guard at Maple Lane School, and retired after 25 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 5, at 11:00AM at Little Flower Catholic Church, with visitation in the church one hour prior. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
