Donna Erdelyi, 71 years young, who passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Donna was born on February 9, 1951 in Charleston, WV to the late John and Hester Jane (Brogan) Adkins. On August 10, 1968 in Walkerton, Donna and Julius A. Erdelyi were united in marriage. Donna is survived by her loving husband, Julius of 53 years and two daughters, Dawn Erdelyi and Laureen Webb. She is also survived by two sisters, Loretta J. Smith of Seattle, WA and Linda K. Adkins of Walkerton; and two brothers, James W. Adkins of Columbia, TN and Joseph Lee Adkins of Koontz Lake. One sister, Betty Lou Adkins, and four brothers, Marshall W., Kent N., John W. and David L. Adkins preceded in death. Donna was a caring and compassionate person who would help anyone. She would pray for people and pray with them. She loved reading the Bible and singing hymns. Donna loved reading the Psalms, one favorite of Ps. 139:23-24. Before she passed she sang, “Jesus Loves Me” and “Open the Door to Jesus.” Donna enjoyed writing Christian songs. She loved nature and animals. Donna loved her family and friends very much! She wrote down, “Thank you Lord for setting me free, thank you for all You have done for me.” Donna will be missed more than words can express. A private celebration of Donna’s life will be at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville is assisting the family.
