Raymond DeBruyne, 68, of 1621 Milburn died before noon Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital after an illness of several months. Born on May 13, 1914, in Kewanee, Ill., he was a son of the late Odo and Emma Van Tomme and had lived in the Mishawaka area since 1922. He retired from Uniroyal, Inc., in 1970. On Nov. 30, 1946, in Mishawaka, he married LaVonda Voreis. He is survived by a son, James A. DeBruyne of Mishawaka; a sister, Mrs. Charles (Maggie) Mahank of Mishawaka, and a brother, Louis DeBruyne of Mishawaka. Another son, Dennis, died in 1949.
