[N3588] Mr. Larry Ozdyck, 74, of Walkerton, IN, died at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 7, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 16, 1937, in Manistee, MI, to A.W. and Theresa (Becsei) Ozdyck. Mr. Ozdyck had worked at Wirekraft shipping department. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Fish Lake American Legion Post 400. On Oct. 26, 1957, in South Bend, IN, he married Sharon A. Lenczkowski, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Sharie (Mike) Conard of Bridgman, MI, Katherine Neveroski of LaPorte and Brenda (Tom) Leja of Fish Lake; two sons, Lawrence (Cynthia) Ozdyck of LaPorte and Randy (Megan) Ozdyck of Valparaiso, IN; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaPorte, with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. Visitation will be at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery on Friday following the service; Fish Lake American Legion will conduct military graveside services.
