CORONA DEL MAR, CA - June Ann Vascil-Trippel, age 55, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, after a four-year battle against glioblastoma brain cancer. June fought the cancer bravely, with positivity and God by her side. She lived her life with Faith-Family-Friends as her motto. She was a great athlete who especially enjoyed playing tennis and golf. June loved Chicago and was a huge fan of Da'Bears and Cubbies. She was always giving with her heart and thinking of others. God, as well as her family and friends, were such an important part of her life. June graduated from John Adams High School and Purdue University (Chi Omega Sorority). She resided in Corona del Mar, CA. June leaves behind her two daughters, Kailey Ann and Courtney Elizabeth; her parents, Gerald F. and BettyLou (Tomczak) Vascil; her siblings, Jerry (Marie) Vascil, John (Betsy) Vascil, and Jill (Tom) Vascil-With; nieces and nephews; her dog, Gucci; and many wonderful friends. June's fun-loving spirit will be greatly missed. Visitation will be at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, on Thursday, February 7, from 4:00-7:00pm where a Vigil Service will be held at 5:30pm. On Friday, February 8, a visitation will be held from 10:30am, with Mass following at 11:30am at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, IN. A luncheon will follow Mass.
