SOUTH BEND - Daniel was born in South Bend on October 14, 1932. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on May 11, 2017, at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Riley High School and attended Butler University where he played football. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. During his career he served as a Police Sergeant in Three Rivers, MI, and a Magistrate for St. Joseph County, MI. He and his wife served as hosts at Caballo State Park in New Mexico for 10 years. While at Caballo they discovered an ancient Indian Pueblo dating back from 750 to 1100 A.D. Archeologists named the pueblo ‘'The Puskas Pueblo.” Daniel was married 55 years to his loving wife, Doris Casey, who preceded him in death. Daniel is survived by three children, Melissa Puskas Hagenbuch, Sara DePoy, Daniel Puskas; his brother, Lawrence Puskas; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; Stephen & Ella Puskas; as well as sister, Mary Ann Beck; and brothers, Mike and Stephen Puskas.
