SOUTH BEND - Priscilla T. Makowski, 101, passed away at 5:45 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in the Milton Home. Priscilla was born October 13, 1911, in South Bend, to the late Anthony and Helen (Stefanski) Lagocki. On June 27, 1936, in South Bend, Priscilla married Al Makowski, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1979. Priscilla was also preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, Ben and Mack Lagocki; and sisters, Josephine Kasprzak, Bernice O'Chap and Wanda Tharp. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Priscilla retired in 1972 from S & S Cleaners; she was a parishioner of St. Hedwig Catholic Church, a member of the Rosary Society and the Civic Club of St. Hedwig, the Grandma's Club, Golden Cluster Club, Polish Women's Democratic Club, and the Associates of St. Joseph (Auxiliary of the Brothers of the Holy Cross). Visitation for Priscilla will be held 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm today, October 25, 2012, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am Friday, October 26, 2012, in St. Hedwig Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. The family would like to thank all who cared for Priscilla at the Milton Home, the Center of Hospice for Palliative Care and Dr. Barbour.
