He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Geraldine De Keizer, Loretta Coppens and Elsie Ammeter; and by his two grandchildren, Andrea and Matthew De Keizer. Camiel married Marian Mammolenti on June 12, 1954, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Camiel was controller for Koontz-Wagner Electric in South Bend for 20 years before his retirement in 1996. Being a graduate of Notre Dame, he was a true fan of all ND sports. Camiel was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He was always a wealth of information concerning their stats. He was very proud when he earned his pilot's license. Camiel was also an avid runner, finishing a half marathon at the age of 50. He enjoyed playing golf with the West End golfers on Sunday mornings, achieving three holes-in-one. Affectionately known to his grandchildren as "Papa," Camiel totally devoted himself to his family. He also enjoyed his family vacations and cruises with his wife. Camiel served as an officer for the BK Club for several years and treasurer for the American Philatelic Society.
