Mary Ann Lambrechts, 83, residing in South Bend, passed away at 7:15 PM Friday, July 15, 2022 at Caring Junction, Inc.. She was born on February 25, 1939 to the late Angela (Ewald) and Edward Alexandrowicz in Mishawaka. On April 14,1955 Mary Ann Alexandrowicz married the late Herman I. Lambrechts who passed away January 31, 2019. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends; cooking delicious meals and desserts; growing flowers; and feeding the birds. She had a caring nature and was known for her generosity and relentless goal to please everybody she met. She was a member of St. Matthew Cathedral and volunteered her services at Corvilla, assisting with events and programs to enrich the lives of adults with disabilities. Mary Ann is survived by her three children Linda (Scott) Decker of Bremen, IN, John (Debbie) Lambrechts of South Haven, MI and Mark (Vickie) Lambrechts of South Bend, IN. Mary Ann was blessed with six grandchildren, Aaron (Sokum) Decker, Sarah (James) Lymburner, Aimee (Barry) Vine, Afton (Derek) Barrett and John Paul (Danielle) Lambrechts. She was preceded in death by grandchild, Evan Lambrechts. She had nine great grandchildren; Brady Decker, Carson Vine, Dawson Vine, Aiden Lambrechts, Lydia Barrett, Hudson Vine, Malia Barrett, Brynnleigh Lambrechts, and Emmie Lambrechts. Mary Ann had 3 sisters, Delores (John) DeMeester and Betty Holtsclaw of South Bend. She is preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Alexandrowicz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 20th at 10:00 AM, at St. Matthew Cathedral with Rev Terry Fisher officiating. Family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM. The Rosary will be prayed on Tuesday, July 19th at 4:00 PM at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614.. Family will receive friends following the Rosary until 7:00 PM at the funeral home, Expressions of sympathy may be offered in Mary Ann’s honor to The American Diabetes Association P. O.
