The 1910 census includes the South Bend, Indiana household of Agnes Laskowski, a widow, who had had five children, four living. Her daughter Anna, son Anthony, and her mother, Catherine Walerowski, also a widow, who had immigrated in 1888, were living with her.
On June 30, 1913, Rev. Szalewski, married Anthony Laskowski and Lottie Gonsiorowski. The marriage applications they filed with the county indicate that Anthony, a laborer in South Bend, was born Dec. 19, 1891 (sic?) in Columbus City,* Indiana, to Stephen & Agnes Laskowski; and that Lottie, a resident of South Bend, was born June 26, 1892 in South Bend to Frank & Agnes Gonsiorowski. Anthony Laskowski died in 1931:
From articles published Fri., Mar. 13, and Sat., Mar. 14, 1931 in the South Bend Tribune:
Anton Laskowski, age 38, of 231 South Chapin street, had resided in South Bend almost all of his life. His survivors included a former wife, Lottie, five children, a brother, and a sister. He had been born Dec. 19, 1892 in Columbus City,* Indiana. His funeral was held at St. Casimer's Catholic Church with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
His date and place of death and the name of the cemetery in which he was buried are given in his Indiana death certificate. It was the understanding of the unnamed informant that Anthony was divorced, that he had no trade, and that he was born Dec. 19 (sic?), 1892 in Columbus City,* Indiana.
Lottie Laskowski remarried in 1944. She married Adolph Lewinski in St. Joseph Co., Indiana. ("St. Joseph Co., Indiana Marriage Index," sbags.org)
*In the birth certificates of two of his children, Anthony's place of birth is given as Columbia City, Indiana.
