Robert Joseph Wensits, 70, residing in South Bend, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at his home. He was born in South Bend on March 7, 1952, a son of the late Edward C. & Jo Ann (Walsh) Wensits. Bob lived in Southern California for 20 years before moving back to South Bend. Bob retired from Tech Data in South Bend. He was an avid sports fan, especially anything related to Notre Dame athletics. He loved gardening, and loved his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews. Bob was humorous and loved to laugh. He is survived by his two sisters Karen (Paul) Nadeau of El Sobrante, CA; Mary Beth Mumford of South Bend, IN; and his two brothers, Richard (Chris) Wensits of Lantana, TX; and Tim (Snezana) Wensits of Hendersonville, TN. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Jenica (Trey) Raney, Kimberly Wensits Thomas J. Mumford, Kova Kolondzic, Nick (Sarah) Wensits, and Andrea Wensits, along with two aunts, Mary M. Walsh, and Theresa Freeman and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Tom Wensits in 1970, and brother-in-law James Mumford on October 8, 2022. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Bob will be laid to rest with his parents at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
