[N8175] Eugenia was born in Golina Russian Poland. She appears returning to the USA on October25,1905 on the Friedrich der Grosse, Bremen to NYC with her parents.

Golina is considered in the Eastern Russian Partition of Poland and is near Kronin. The family was visiting the area which we assume was the area that the Karaszewski family immigrated from in the 1890's. Oral history maintains that Stella Piechorowski who was born in Brzyskorzystew, Poland ( Prussian Partition) about 35 miles to the NW did not like Poland and encouraged Julius to return shortly after Eugenia was born. We do not know if the families knew each other in Poland. Both families were landed farmers no evidence of Gentry.
