=================

On March 9, 1892, August Buysse, 34, his wife Natalie, 29, and Sulma [Sulima], 4, arrived at the port of Philadelphia on the S. S. Switzerland, on their way to South Bend, Indiana. According to the 1900 census of South Bend, Indiana, August Buysse, a moulder at a plow factory, and his wife "Nettie" were both born in Belgium, had been married fifteen years, had immigrated in the early 1890s, and she had had three children (in birth order): Julia [Sulima) born in Belgium, Bertha and Arthur born in Indiana. According to the 1910 census she then had had five children, four living. Daughter Mary had been born since 1900. Her death certificate says that her father's name was Bernard VanDeVeire. The informant of the non-medical information was [her daughter] Mrs. Steve Barzo.
