MISHAWAKA - Robert E. Skodinski, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 18, 2016, in Sanctuary at St. Paul's in South Bend. Robert was born on Sept. 27, 1932, in South Bend, to Ervin & Virginia (Cwiklinski) Skodinski. He was preceded in death by his parents. On October 18, 1958, in South Bend, he married the former Patricia McManus. Surviving are his loving wife, Patricia; daughters, Mary (Cliff) Courtney of Mishawaka and Pattie (Brett) Stamm of Berlin, MD; sons, Robert A. Skodinski and Richard Skodinski, both of Sterling, VAl and five grandchildren, Jennifer, Amanda, Patrick, Michael and Kevin; three great-grandchildren, Nahara, Isreal and Skylar. Robert was a Supervisor for ADT for 38 years before he retired in 1996. He enjoyed spending time with his family; woodworking and working out in his yard. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 21stv from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, January 22nd, at 10:30 a.m., with an hour visitation prior in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Rev. John Santone CSC will officiate.
