James E. Niemier
July 23, 1932 - July 10, 1991

Plymouth -- James E. Niemier, 58, of 4800 Douglas Drive, died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend. Mr. Niemier was retired from Bendix Corp., South Bend. He was born July 23, 1932, in South Bend. He moved to Plymouth in 1978. On Oct 25, 1977, in South Bend, he married Naomi Burch.

She survives with four daughter, Lorie Sparks of Lafayette, Ind., Cheryl Wieglos and Deborah Niemier; both of Naperville, Ill., and Amy Niemier of Washington D.C.; a son, James of South Bend; five stepdaughters, Valerie Ottow and Seila Turnage, both of Plymouth, Renita VanDeventer of Mishawaka, Lisa Fear and Sheri Masterson, both of Nappanee; two stepsons, Roger Burch of Tyner and Keenan Burch of Lapaz, seven grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; his mother, Clementine Moskwinski of South Bend; a sister; and a brother, Leonard of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to New Philadelphian Church.
