SOUTH BEND -Gazella Molnar, 99, formerly of Smith and Washington Streets in South Bend, IN, died at 12:15 AM Sunday, October 26, 2008, in The Milton Home. She was born on May 10, 1909, to the late Antal and Gizella (Neher) Molnar in South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her parents, three brothers, Frank, Leslie and Tony Molnar, also preceded her in death. Gazella graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1926. Ms. Molnar retired in 1975 as a private secretary for the Bendix Corporation after 29 years of employment. She is survived by three nieces, Nancy (Jim) Michalski of South Bend, IN, Mary Jane McCarthy of South Bend, IN, and Pamela Molnar of Mishawaka, IN; one nephew, David (Mary) Molnar of Canton, MI; a nephew-in-law, James R. McCarthy of South Bend, IN; two great-nephews, Kevin Michalski of South Bend, IN, and Christopher (Jennifer) Molnar of Fort Wayne, IN; three great-nieces, Ann Marie McCarthy of South Bend, IN, Lynn McCarthy of Osceola, IN, and Jennifer (Lon) Lowen of Michigan; one great-great-nephew, Jacob Wargo of Osceola, IN; one great-great-niece, Emily Wargo of Osceola, IN; and great-great-nieces and nephews of Michigan, Ava, Quinn, Alexander and Jacob. Ms. Molnar was a member of Holy Family Parish. Visitation will be from 2-8 PM today, Oct. 28, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, IN, where a parish Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 PM. Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Rescue Mission, 532 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46601; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
