Frank X. Papczynski, aged 41 of 2325 West Kenwood Avenue collapsed and died of a heart attack at 9:05 a.m. Sunday in his home while dressing for church. The city ambulance was called but Mr. Papczynski had died before it arrived. Deputy Coroner Samuel E. Bechtold said death was caused by the heart attack. Mr. Papczynski was born in South Bend, October 2, 1897, and lived here all his life. On May 19, 1920 in St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church he was married to Miss Stella Grochowalski who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Prakseda Sowinski. Seven children, Frank J.,Virginia, Edward, Loretta, Rita, Richard and Ruth all at home: two brothers, Alexander and John Papczynski; a half brother, Sylvester Sowinski and four sisters, Mrs. Nora Starkweather, Mrs. Bernice Paidle, Mrs. Lottie Nowaczewski, and Mrs. Hattie Lentych, all of South Bend. Friends will be received in the home until the funeral at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Stanislaus church with Rev. Stanislaus S. Kuszynski, C.S.C. pastor officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Polish cemetery.
