STEWARTVILLE -- Roman N. Dereng, 82, a resident of Whitewater Manor Healthcare Center in St. Charles the past two years and formerly of Stewartville, died Tuesday night (Nov. 2, 1993) at the care center. He was born Sept. 11, 1911, in Chicago and married Mildred Wasilewski there on Jan. 3, 1933. Survivors include his wife; a son, Don of Stewartville; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
