SOUTH BEND - Traudi V. Hagedorn, 69, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. Traudi was born on February 23, 1945, in Munich, Germany. She was raised by her loving mom, Berta (Heusinger), and step-father, John Harcz. On March 2, 1963, at Faith Temple Church in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Edmund L. Hagedorn, who survives. Traudi and Edmund have celebrated over 52 wonderful years of marriage. Traudi cherished her role as a homemaker for her wonderful family. She also enjoyed working at Tepe's where she was a certified jewelist, and at L.S. Ayres in the Scottdale Mall. Her family meant the world to her and nothing brought more happiness to her than her children and grandchildren. She loved all dogs, especially strays. Traudi is survived by her husband, Edmund L. Hagedorn of South Bend; daughter, April (Drew) David of South Bend; sons, Lee (Lori) Hagedorn of North Liberty, Matthew (Elise) Hagedorn of Terra Haute; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Kelsey, Jordan, Roam, Summer, Trent, Isabelle, Caleb and Kristy; great-grandchildren, Mari and Matthew; sisters, Tish (Greg) Kajzer of Mishawaka, Manel (Mike) Deeter of Houston, TX, Esther (David) Bratton of Vandalia, MI; and her brother, Daniel Harcz of Buchannan. Traudi was preceded in death by her mother, Berta, and stepfather, John Harcz, and her sister, Lydia Hembrecht. Funeral services for Traudi will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Graveside services will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday evening from 4:00 8:00 PM and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to
