OSCEOLA - Frances "Frannie" Mary (Gildea) Babinski, age 67, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Frannie was born August 20, 1947, in South Bend, Indiana, to the late Frank and Lillian (Robichaud) Gildea. Frannie graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1966. She was employed for many years as a secretary in administration at TORO and other places in South Bend before her retirement in 1990. On July 21, 1989, she married James "Bubba" Babinski in South Bend, Indiana. James survives, along with her son, Bryon Bella of Denver, Colorado, and her siblings, Diana (Ralph) Gildea-Sharpe of Niles, Cleta Gildea of South Bend, Donna Gildea-Redding of Niles and Ed (Jinny) Gildea of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Gildea. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm today, October 2, 2014, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Annette Freese of Grace Hospice at Chapel Hill Funeral Home at 10 am Friday, October 3, 2014. Entombment will follow in the Good Shepherd Mausoleum on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Frannie loved the outdoors, and spent many hours working in her yard and garden. She also enjoyed making arts and crafts in her spare time. Frannie enjoyed music and loved to sing, and used her talent for interior decorating to make her home beautiful. She also loved to shop and write poetry. Her wonderful and unique personality made her sensitive to others, and she was loved by all.
