Lottie H. Gress, 92, of North Sheridan in South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, in Hospice House, South Bend. Mrs. Gress was born on Aug. 25, 1908, in New Carlisle, Ind., to the late Stephen and Helen (Rybacka) Mroczkiewicz.On Oct. 24, 1928, as Lottie H. Mroczkiewicz, she married Stanley J. Gress, who preceded her in death on April 21, 1966. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Arelt; and by three brothers, Clem Mroczkiewicz, Ted and Steve Moore. She retired from White House Manufacturing, and had previously been employed by the Wilson Brothers Shirt Company. Mrs. Gress was a member of the St. Casimir Altar and Rosary Society, St. John the Baptist retiree's club, St. Hedwig Civic Club, Hoosier Grandmothers Club, and the Forever Learning Institute. She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (John) Zrobek of South Bend; grandchildren, Maureen (Steve) Duncan of Indianapolis, Ind., Mark Zrobek of South Bend; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Masie and Matthew Duncan; a sister, Bertha Moskwinski of Pennsylvania; and by nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date. The KANIEWSKI Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, is handling arrangements.
