LA PORTE - Andrew Leo Bladecki, 80, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday April 27, 2016 as the result of a traffic accident. Andrew was born July 1, 1935 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana to Vernie and Josephine (Pekofske) Bladecki. Mr. Bladecki was employed with Allis-Chalmers, Standard Oil, and Carter Lumber. In March of 1962, Andrew married Carol Richardson who died in July of 1998. In August of 1971, Andrew married Arlene Kleist who died in September of 1998. Mr. Bladecki leaves behind his children, Theresa (Duane) Arndt of Kingsford Heights, IN, Robin Bladecki of Rolling Prairie, IN, Randy (Tammy) Bladecki of La Porte, IN, and Greg (Tom Craig) Bladecki, of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Justin (Liz Sloffer) Bladecki, Brandon Arndt, Anastasia Arndt, Krista (Zac) Myers, Travis Bladecki, Aaron Bladecki, & Trenton Arndt; great grandchildren, Veronica, Ava, Ian, Carley, Alexis, & Leo; a sister, Rosella Tuszynski of Gary, IN; and a brother, George (Mary Lou) Bladecki of Rolling Prairie, IN. Mr. Bladecki was a member of St. John Kanty Catholic Church in Rolling Prairie, IN. He loved farming and gardening and would help out wherever he was needed. Visitation for Mr. Bladecki will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
