SOUTH BEND - Robert E. Griesinger, 57, of South Oliver Street, died at 2:29 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Griesinger was employed by The Tribune for eight years. He was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Mishawaka, and was a lifelong area resident. On Aug. 25, 1956, in South Bend, he married Mary M. Drapinski. She survives, with four daughters, Cheryl Brunkhart, and Ann Garretson and Joan Parmley, both of Mishawaka, and Debra O'Dell of Bremen; a son, Robert L. of South Bend; 15 grandchildren; three sisters, Jean Merrick of Carmel, Ind., and Janet Ivacic and Judy Krugh, both of South Bend; and three brothers, William and Edward, both of Mishawaka, and Ronald of Niles. A grandchild preceded in death. He was a veteran of the Navy. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Zahoran Funeral Home, where the parish rosary will be said at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
