Mignon Theresa Benenati, 65, of Mishawaka, IN passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2020. She was born on September 30, 1954 in Bryan, Texas to USAF Ret. Lt. Col. Louis and Barbara (Phillips) LaGro. Mignon is survived by three daughters, Ashley (Christopher) Reardon of Brooklyn, NY; Angela (Brock) Nickell of Bristol, IN; and Andrea Benenati of Mishawaka, IN; and two sons, Anthony G. (Angela Sienko) Benenati of South Bend, IN; and Andrew (Amanda) Benenati of Mishawaka, IN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, one sister Patricia (Greg) Stouder and two brothers, Louis LaGro and Mike (Alice) Schmidt. Mignon was preceded in death by her husband Anthony E. Benenati (2005), her parents and her grandson, Jake. Mignon was passionate about her grandchildren, music, reading and making others laugh. An avid pianist, Mignon enjoyed playing the piano whenever possible. She was happiest in the company of her children and her grandchildren. Due to the current executive order requiring Indiana residents to stay at home, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
