Laraine Botos, 96, peacefully passed away on Sunday June 20, 2021 in Naperville, Illinois. Laraine was born on June 11, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Joseph and Martha (Mrozek) Marcyan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Joseph (1986), her beloved son Mark (2012) and her sister Marion DePiero. She is survived by her sister Rosalyn Marcyan, her grandsons Matthew (Lynn) and Justin (Anna), two great grandchildren, a niece, two nephews and many cousins. She was a role model to her caring daughter in law, Becky. After graduating from Vandalia Michigan High School Laraine moved to South Bend in 1943 where she got a job in the employment office at Studebaker. It was there where she met her future husband Joe Botos. They married on January 3, 1947 at Saint Stephen's Catholic Church. She later worked at Mastic/Alcola in the order department until retirement becoming the first female to earn employee of the year in 1978. Laraine enjoyed golf, bowling, line dancing, playing volleyball and volunteering. She was guided by her deep faith in God, a witty, strong, practical woman who was a great friend to all. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. Published on July 01, 2021
