Patricia A. Giannicco, 82, residing in South Bend, passed away peacefully at 10:04 pm Monday, June 4, 2018 in her home. She was born September 12, 1935 in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony and Theresa (Pizza) Loparco. On October 5, 1964 in Chicago, IL, Patricia married Salvadore “Sal” Giannicco, who survives. In addition to Sal, her loving husband of 53 years, she is survived by her daughter, Gia (Jamey) Haigh of South Bend; seven grandchildren, Emma, Audrey, Charlie, Jack, Dominic, Thomas and Will; and one brother, Paul (Linda) Loparco of Oak Forest, IL. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Madeline; and two sisters, Rose Marie and Dolores. Patricia was employed as a hostess for Aurelio’s Pizza. She has resided in South Bend since July 2013, relocating from Homewood, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Monday, June 11, 2018 in St. Therese, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Road, South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 - 5:00 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where a rosary will be recited at 2:00 pm.
