ELKHART - Daniel J. Wlodarek, 52, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Riverside Village Nursing Facility in Elkhart. Daniel was born December 1, 1962, in South Bend, to Raymond and Norma Povlock Wlodarek; they survive along with his daughter, Samantha (Daniel) Current of Elkhart; sisters, Bonnie (Edward) Fuentes, and Sara and (Sam) Byrd of Texas; grandchildren, Averi and Daniel Jr.; and several nieces & nephews. Daniel was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ivy. Daniel was a graduate of Washington High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy. Daniel was a truck driver with Waste Management. He was a member of the American Legion Post #284. Daniel played the French horn with the Benton Harbor and South Bend Symphony. He was a very talented musician. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Riverside Village for the care given to Daniel. Visitation for Daniel will be 2 pm to 6 pm Monday, June 8, 2015, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm. A Funeral service will be held at 10 am Tuesday, June 9, 2015, in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St Joseph Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545; or the Riverside Village Nursing Facility, 1400 Franklin St., Elkhart, Indiana 46516.
