Robert W. Edwards, 46, of 742 S. Gladstone Ave., died at 9:15am Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a two week illness. He had been a stripper and printer at Indiana Engraving Co 26 years. He was born on November 12, 1925, in South Bend and had lived here all of his life. On February 15, 1947, he married Bernice Mildred Sabuda, who survives, along with his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Edwards of Riverside CA; two sons, Thomas Wayne of South Bend, and Robert Christopher, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Nancy Dowlut of South Bend, Patricia Ann and Cynthia Gail, both at home; two grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Walter of South Bend, and three sisters, Mrs. Alice Procaccino of Colorado Springs CO, Mrs. Connie White of Orlando FL and Mrs. Betty Harman of Riverside CA. Friends may call form 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Wednesday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10am Thursday in St Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev. Richard J. Kennedy, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery. Mr. Edwards was a WW II veteran.
