Kim was born on March 6, 1958, in South Bend to the late Kent and Donna Frederick. On February 14, 2009, Kim shared a wedding with her daughter and was united in marriage with Thomas A. Lucchi at Potato Creek State Park. Along with Tom, her loving husband, Kim is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Donny Siders of Mishawaka; and three grandchildren, Kevin Dobbs, Ashley Dobbs and Dalton Siders. Kim is also survived by her six siblings, Scott Frederick of Mishawaka, Carrie (Kelly) Ullery of South Bend, Jody (Derrick) Waggoner of South Bend, Cindy Grantham of Mishawaka, David Frederick, and Jon Frederick of Mishawaka; and a handful of nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Kim was also preceded in death by her sister, Shelly Bright, and her first husband, Mark Easley. Known for her bloody marys, Kim enjoyed being a bartender for over 25 years. She met many friends, shared great memories, and fell in love with her future husband, Tom, all while being employed at Parkview Tavern in South Bend. She later finished her career at Barnaby’s in Mishawaka. In her younger years, Kim enjoyed playing softball, shooting darts, and was great at bowling. Throughout her life, Kim was the most caring and loving person to anyone she met. She earned the title “Mother Hen” as she nurtured and mothered every person whom she cared for and truly loved.
