MISHAWAKA - Ervin J. Paprocki, 75, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Ervin was born January 18, 1940 in South Bend to the late Louis and Helen (Mikolajczak) Paprocki, Sr. Ervin is also preceded in death by brother, Louis Jr. and sister-in-law, Loretta Paprocki. On October 21, 1967 in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Ervin married his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra (Szmanda) Paprocki; she survives along with their children, Kevin (Laura) Paprocki, Karen (Nathan) Pal, and Kirk (Jennifer) Paprocki; grandchildren, Alexa, Isabella, Joshua Pal, Noah Paprocki, Chelsea Matlock and Jeffery McKay; great-grandchildren, Baley and Brayden; sister, Mary Ann (Daniel) Gacki; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many nieces & nephews. Ervin was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He was a custodian for the South Bend Community School Corporation and retired after 32 years. Ervin was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, particularly to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Ervin also loved cars and dogs. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation for Ervin will be 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm Thursday, April 23, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, April 24, 2015 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka with visitation an hour prior to Mass at the church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's & Dementia Services, 922 E. Colfax, South Bend, IN 46617.
