SOUTH BEND - Marvin E. Milewski, 89, passed away peacefully on July 4 with his family by his side. Marvin was born on November 12, 1928 to the late Edward and Eleanor (Ziolkowski)) Milewski. Marvin was known as “PaPa” to his family, a name given to him by his first granddaughter, Michelle. On October 29, 1949, Marvin married Mirra Robakowski, who survives. Together for 69 years, Marvin and Mirra raised four children: Michael Milewski (preceded in death in 2007), Cindy Milewski of North Liberty, Drew Milewski of Ft. Myers, FL, and Jason (Michele Greene) Milewski of Niles, MI. Marvin is also survived by his grandchildren: Michelle Malicki (David Allen) of South Bend, Katie (Mike) Muldoon of Plainwell, MI, Caleb Alexander Milewski of Indianapolis, IN, Jacob and Jace Milewski of Niles, MI; and great-granddaughter, Kylie Allen of South Bend. Marvin proudly served for 22 years as a firefighter for the South Bend Fire Dept. Per the family's request, there will be no public services for Marvin. Memorial contributions may be made in Marvin's honor to Pet Refuge of South Bend or the South Bend Fire Dept. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
