Dec. 6, 1900 - July 1, 1992 NORTH LIBERTY - Julia Kowalewski, 91, of 27401 Jackson Road, died Wednesday afternoon in the home of her daughter, 27199 Jackson Road. Mrs. Kowalewski was born Dec. 6, 1900, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident. In 1920, in South Bend, as Julia Gallas, she married Vincent Kowalewski. He died in 1975. She is survived by her daughter, Thelma Putz of North Liberty; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son, Richard, preceded her in death. She was a member of Harvest House and St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
