Casimir B. Slott

NORTHAMPTON, MA - Casimir "Casey" B. Slott, 88, of Northampton, MA, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Friday, October 12, 2012, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton, MA, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 6, 1924, in South Bend, IN, to the late Casimir and Louise (Mincinski) Slott. On April 24, 1948, in South Bend, IN, he married Gene T. (Kush) Slott, who survives. Casey is also survived by two daughters, Kathryn (Dana) Carpenter of Northampton, MA, and Elizabeth (James) Lawton of Conway, MA; two sons, Michael (Amy) Slott of Northbrook, IL, and Casey (Leslie) Slott of Wheaton, IL; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Slott served his country in the United States Navy during World War II as a Pharmacist Mate. He retired as a pharmaceutical salesman after forty years employment at the South Bend Drug Co. In his retirement, he worked at the Notre Dame bookstore during the football season. Casey lived in South Bend his entire life, moving to Northampton, MA, in 2009. He will be remembered always for his wonderful sense of humor and contagious smile.
