SOUTH BEND - Rita Luczkowski, 87, passed away on July 24, 2016, in Memorial Hospital. Rita was born April 24, 1929, to the late Stanley & Clara Babicz. On August 16, 1947, Rita married Ervin Luczkowski, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Mary Luczkowski; and brother, Raymond Babicz. Rita is survived by her children, Peggy (Tom) Mossman, Tim, Danny, Jim (Sharon), and Jack Luczkowski; grandchildren, Robert (Jessi) Luczkowski, Jennifer (Iain) Siery, Crystal Luczkowski, Randall Mossman, and Amanda Luczkowski; and great-grandchildren, Matthew & Peyton Luczkowski, Ethan Feller and Owen Siery.Rita was a member of the PNA. She enjoyed bowling, jigsaw puzzles, and time spent with family and friends at her lake trailer; fishing, playing poker and having drinks by the campfire. Rita enjoyed cooking meals for her family, especially her delicious pirogies as they gathered at her home for the holidays. She was a loving, generous person who always thought of others first. Rita loved her family and dogs very much and will be greatly missed. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
