On Nov. 11. 1890, Damazy, aka Thomas, Makielski, son of Francis Makielski, married Helena Laskowski, daughter of Constantine Laskowski, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana.According to the 1900 census, they were living in Chicago. Thomas had immigrated in the early 1870s. They had two daughters, Anna and Cornelia.
Damazy died in 1904, and about 1905, Helena married Peter Mroczkiewicz.
