Theresa “Kelly" Niedbalski
October 6, 1929 - April 25, 2022
South Bend - On Monday, April 25, 2022, Kelly, 92, walked up those golden stairs to heaven to be with her beloved Jesus, Mary, & Joseph, and her beloved husband Daniel, and son, Martin. Kelly was born October 6, 1929 in South Bend to the late Frank and Hattie (Rosplock) Kielton. On June 24, 1950 Kelly married the love of her life, Daniel Niedbalski, he preceded her in death on October 20, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her son, Martin in 2014; sisters, Martha Dobosiewicz, Yolanda Horvath, Pauline H. Niedosik, & Mary Lubawy; brother, Anthony Kielton; and dear friend, Barbara (Ervin) Rydzinski. Left to cherish the memory of Kelly are her granddaughter, Kimberly Scope; great-granddaughters, Moranda & Mariah Fugate; daughter-in-law, Sarah Smith; nieces, Barbara (Ronald) Kwiecinski, Mary Helen (Clark) Hensell, Margaret (Jerry) Zielinski, Joan Hurley, Marleen (Joseph) Sassano, Christine (Randy) Coleman, Patricia (James) Mullen; nephews, Brian (Laura) Horvath, Bernard (Judy), Horvath, Charles Horvath, Robert (Cheryl) Horvath, Kevin Horvath, William, (Charolette) Lubawy; friends, Lisa (Rob) Gordan; and a host of great-grandnieces and nephews. Kelly was a member of the Indiana State Employers Assoc., AARP, former member of the Young Lady’s Sodality, the Studebaker MaryAnn Club, Studebaker Bowling Assoc., and a St. Cecelia's choir member at St. Adalbert. She was also a volunteer at the Faith, Hope, and Charity Chapel and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Kelly and Dan would watch Eternal Word Television daily, saying the Divine Mercy Chaplet Novena. Like her father, Kelly enjoyed playing solitaire while singing vesper songs in polish. When she could not fall asleep, she would sing religious songs to lull her to slumber land. Kelly enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working on crossword puzzles, playing euchre and bowling. She was a Die-Hard Cubs Fan. Kelly being the youngest of five girls, love to have phone conversations with her older sisters, and they would meet once a month for breakfast. Kelly dearly loved and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter and great-granddaughters. Visitation will be 10:30am-1:00pm, with a Mass of Christian Burial Celebrated at 1:00pm on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net “We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, your always by our side. Our family chain is broken, nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
